Dear Delegates, Advisors, Team Members, and Partners,

It is my utmost delight to welcome you to the 2025 EKIN SNY JMUN Conference happening this May in Izmir! Truthfully, it is the highlight of my Model UN experiences to be serving as your Secretary-General for this year’s conference - an honor and a duty that I approach with full seriousness, passion, and commitment to giving you what I hope will be your best experience to date.

Each year, we strive to do better and be better because forging the leaders of tomorrow starts today: in your classrooms and at EKIN SNY JMUN. So, get ready to immerse yourselves in an intercultural exchange meshing the art of diplomacy with global citizenship and leadership!

SG Welcome Letter  (New York)

Dear Delegates, Advisors and Staffers,

What an honor it is to welcome you to this year’s EKIN J SNY MUN FY26 happening this March in New York City!

Model United Nations has been far more than a mere extracurricular activity for me. It has molded my intellectual framework, cultivated my capacity for nuanced reasoning and instilled an appreciation for the intricate dynamics of global diplomacy. It has illuminated the notion that challenges are not impediments, but rather catalysts for ingenuity and transformative solutions.

This year, the committees and topics have been meticulously curated to confront some of the most exigent global issues, providing you with a platform to deliberate critically and devise pragmatic, impactful solutions. Further, the team chosen to be aside of you has been well-trained and ensures high standards. And so, I ask of you all to really learn from one another.

My aspiration is that this conference will similarly refine your analytical faculties, elevate your self-confidence and deepen your commitment to collaborative problem-solving.

I urge each of you to participate with intellectual vigor, listen with discernment and engage with the plurality of perspectives present in this forum. Your dedication, creativity and perspicacity are what will rocket this conference to its fullest potential. The conference can only thrive if the delegates have learned the true meaning of diplomacy.
